Swimming on the Moon
A warm summer evening tempts Eva out to the front porch of her family’s little red house by Loon Lake. Neighbor children invite - and challenge - her to “go swimming on the moon.” Impossible - she thinks. Dusk turns to dark. Eva watches and wonders as woodland animals move through the yard. Finally, curiosity takes her to the dock where the other children are gazing at the moon’s reflection on the lake, and there she makes a startling discovery!
